Although born and raised in the Midwest, Susan Lenz now lives and works in Columbia, South Carolina. She has always traveled and these experiences have been translated into a love of textiles, textures, and cultural diversity.

Using a needle and thread for self-expression, Susan works to create art that reflects her interest in the concept of time. Memory, universal mortality, and personal legacy are central themes. Vintage materials and meticulous handwork are important elements that are used to connect the past to the present with a nod toward the future.

She has studied under several internationally renowned fiber artists and been juried into numerous national exhibits. Several pieces have been accepted internationally, too!
